Getting Started

If you are interested in exploring the possibility of engaging in treatment with me, please request an initial appointment online via my Client Portal .

In addition, you can call or text (760-213-9377), or send me an email at me@drbillcurci.com to arrange for an initial telephone consultation.

The initial consultation usually takes about 45 minutes. During the consultation I will ask about the concerns that are leading you to seek treatment, and also discuss how I might address your concerns through psychotherapy. We will also discuss fees, and, if you have plans to use your insurance, ask for you to provide plan details so I can verify coverage and any potential co-payments or other patient responsibilities ahead of our first in-person meeting.

After the telephone consultation prospective clients are sometimes ready to make arrangements to begin seeing me for psychotherapy right away. At other times prospective clients want to take some time to think about what they want to do, or want to talk with other potential providers before making a decision. Occasionally I will realize that a prospective client’s concerns are not within my areas of expertise or scope of practice, so I end up offering referrals to other potential treatment providers. Regardless, the consultation serves an important role in determining whether my practice is a good fit.
